Together with German Cycling, the Lidl Deutschland Tour has set a goal of offering young German and international riders a unique platform to present themselves on the biggest stage. That's why the Lichtblick Newcomer Tour is part of the Lidl Deutschland Tour every year.
Edda Bieberle wins the second stage of the LichtBlick Newcomer Tour 2025
The first stage winner of the LichtBlick Newcomer Tour is Elena D'Agnese.
The young Italian prevailed in the final against Edda Bieberle from the Saxony-Anhalt regional association as well as her teammate Maddalena Pascut.
Bieberle, who competes for RSV Osterweddingen, not only took second place but also claimed the lead in the mountain classification. In the sprint classification, Charlotte Späth (RSV Wanderlust Hofweier) from the Baden regional association is in the lead.
The race was held on a 2.9-kilometer circuit in Kassel, which had to be completed 18 times. After an exciting day with three sprint and three mountain classifications, Karla Müller (RK Endspurt 09 Cottbus) from the Brandenburg regional association took the lead in the overall standings.
