Nine UCI WorldTeams and five UCI ProTeams confirmed
Nine UCI WorldTeams and five UCI ProTeams have been confirmed – UCI Continental Teams will be announced after the German National Championships.
Strong International Field for Germany’s Leading Stage Race
The Lidl Deutschland Tour 2026 is continuing to take shape: nine UCI WorldTeams and five UCI ProTeams have been confirmed for the five-day stage race from 19 to 23 August.
This means that a high-calibre international field is already set for the race, which will begin with a prologue in Bad Orb and conclude with the final stage in Heilbronn.
The UCI Continental Teams will be announced after the German National Championships next weekend.
The confirmed teams will bring international stars and leading German riders to the start line. On the route from Bad Orb via Schwäbisch Hall, Offenbach an der Queich, Herxheim and Bad Dürkheim through to the finale in Heilbronn, fans and media can look forward to a varied and competitive race.
Nine WorldTeams Lead the Start List
Nine teams from the highest category of international road cycling will line up at the Lidl Deutschland Tour 2026. They form the sporting backbone of the race and will bring riders capable of contesting victory across all stage profiles.

The first names from the provisional start lists underline the race’s international appeal. Riders such as Pello Bilbao of Bahrain Victorious, Jhonatan Narváez and Adam Yates of UAE Team Emirates XRG, Davide Formolo of Movistar Team, Simone Consonni of Lidl-Trek, Roger Adrià of Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe and Tibor Del Grosso of Alpecin-Premier Tech highlight the growing international significance of the race.
From a German perspective, fans can also look forward to familiar names from the peloton. Riders such as Lennard Kämna and Max Walscheid of Lidl-Trek, Phil Bauhaus and Nikias Arndt of Bahrain Victorious, as well as Henri Uhlig of Alpecin-Premier Tech, will attract particular attention on home roads.
The names listed are provisional. The final start list will be available 24 hours before the start of the race.
Five UCI ProTeams Add Further Depth
In addition to the WorldTeams, five UCI ProTeams will compete in the Lidl Deutschland Tour 2026. With their aggressive style of racing and international profiles, they are expected to add excitement across the stages and further strengthen the field.

With riders such as Fernando Gaviria and Stefano Oldani of Caja Rural-Seguros RGA, the ProTeams also bring international quality and experience to the race. These teams can play a decisive role on every stage, whether in breakaways, sprint finishes or open finales.
Additional Teams to Follow After the German National Championships
The composition of the start list will be completed in a further step. The UCI Continental Teams will be announced after the German National Championships next weekend. This will allow the latest sporting impressions from the national racing scene to be included in the final selection.

About the Lidl Deutschland Tour
The Lidl Deutschland Tour is the largest cycling event in Germany and will take place from 19 to 23 August 2026. The race will start in Bad Orb with a prologue. The following stages will take the route through several regions of Germany before the overall winner is decided in Heilbronn.
As a five-day UCI ProSeries stage race, the Lidl Deutschland Tour attracts the world’s best teams and also offers a wide range of mass-participation cycling experiences. These include the ADAC Cycling Tour 2026 in Heilbronn for amateur riders and the kinder Joy of Moving mini tour for the youngest cycling fans.
With the LichtBlick Newcomer Tour on Saturday and Sunday, the race will also provide a platform for the female U17 cycling talents.
